Abundance Isn’t Just a Buzzword
It’s a quiet shift in how you think, spend, and show up, and it can change your entire financial story.
A couple years ago, I genuinely thought I was being wise with money. I avoided spending, turned down opportunities, and played it safe. Not because I had a solid plan, but because I was afraid.
Afraid it wouldn’t come back.
Afraid I didn’t know enough.
Afraid there wouldn’t be enough for me.
That was scarcity talking. And I didn’t even know it.
When I started learning about money mindset, it hit me: I wasn’t broke, I was bound by beliefs that made me play small.
Shifting to an abundance mindset didn’t just change my bank balance. It changed how I showed up. How I made decisions. How I trusted God and moved boldly, even before the numbers “made sense” according to what was being said on social media by many of these “gurus”.
🚫 Scarcity Sounds Responsible… But It’s Rooted in Fear
Scarcity doesn’t always look like lack. Sometimes it looks like control.
It's that constant anxiety about not having enough—money, time, energy, support—and it shows up subtly:
You postpone investing in yourself
You avoid checking your finances
You say no to opportunities before exploring them
You make decisions based on fear, not faith
Scarcity convinces you that safety is in the struggle. But in reality? It’s a ceiling you weren’t meant to live under.
💫 Abundance Isn’t a Dream. It’s a Daily Decision
An abundance mindset is about more than positive thinking. It’s about believing that you’re supported, equipped, and positioned to receive.
Abundance says:
“There’s more where that came from.”
It’s not just about money, it’s about energy, purpose, opportunity, love, and provision. When you shift into abundance, you start to:
✨ See possibility where others see problems
✨ Give freely without fear of running out
✨ Trust that what's meant for you will find you
✨ Act from vision instead of limitation
This mindset doesn't come from pretending everything’s perfect. It comes from choosing to believe there’s more than enough, even when it hasn’t shown up yet.
✨ My Turning Point: From Holding Back to Leaning In
I remember once passing on a course I knew could help me grow, just because I was scared the money wouldn’t come back. Weeks later, I ended up spending even more on things that didn’t serve me. That was my wake-up call.
The truth is, I was holding on so tight to what I had, I couldn’t open my hands to receive anything new.
That’s when I started practicing abundance.
Not by throwing money around, but by making intentional, faith-filled choices:
💡 Giving before I felt “ready”
💡 Speaking what I wanted to see
💡 Gratitude journaling
💡 Taking aligned actions, even small ones
Little by little, I started to feel lighter. More trusting. More in control, not of the outcome, but of how I responded to life and the effort I put in.
🌱 How to Practice Abundance This Week
If you want to live from abundance, it starts with your daily choices. Here are a few that work for me:
✅ Share what you know freely because generosity isn’t always financial
✅ Be genuinely happy for others’ success because it proves what’s possible
✅ Celebrate what’s already in your life
✅ Visualize the version of you who operates from peace and not panic
✅ Replace thoughts of “not enough” with “what if it works out better than I imagined?”
Practicing abundance doesn’t require perfection. Just awareness, intention, and trust.
🧠 You Can’t Build Wealth From a Scarcity Mindset
A scarcity mindset is the real roadblock to your financial goals. It doesn’t matter how much you earn, if you don’t believe you’re worthy or capable, you’ll keep living in fear.
This week, I want you to lean into the possibility of more.
More clarity. More confidence. More courage.
Because abundance isn’t just a nice idea, it’s your inheritance.
📤 forward this to someone who’s been shrinking their goals out of fear
There is more than enough. And you are more than ready.
With you on your journey to becoming Fulfilled and Free,
Sandrene
